Time-reversed stochastic inflation in the quantum well

This work solves time-reversed stochastic inflation within a flat and bounded 'quantum well' potential by counting e-folds backward from quantum diffusion towards an initial state. The results show that for small fluctuations, the distribution matches standard models, but large fluctuations develop exponential tails that decay twice as fast compared to forward inflation, which is important for phenomena like primordial black hole formation.
