Cooper Instability of a Magnetic Wigner Crystal

The study investigated whether two electrons in a magnetic Wigner crystal can form a bound state when phonon exchange is considered. Using approximations, researchers found that phonon-mediated attraction is strong enough to induce pairing, leading to a chiral p-wave superconducting instability. This mechanism dominates the pairing and results in a binding energy of 24.97 meV at zero momentum.
