Interacting Electronic Topology of Nonlocal Crystals
The study investigates nonlocal crystals, systems with translation symmetry but infinite-range interactions, to understand how nonlocality enriches topological phases. In one dimension with specific symmetries, infinite-range interactions stabilize a topological phase characterized by a system-size-independent nontrivial inversion eigenvalue of the ground state, which is impossible for local systems.
