Mass-asymmetry-controlled exciton dressing and dissociation in a quantum lattice model
This study uses a quantum lattice model to investigate how mass asymmetry affects exciton dressing and stability in polar semiconductors. It found a paradox: symmetry protecting an exciton from phonon dressing simultaneously prevents its stabilization by polarons, leading to inevitable dissociation at strong coupling.
