Structured-Light Magnetometry in a Coherently Controlled Atomic Medium
The study proposes using a radially polarized Laguerre-Gaussian beam to measure magneto-optical rotation (MOR) in cold Rubidium atoms. By mapping polarization rotation onto a petal-shaped spatial intensity pattern, the method avoids complex polarimetry. This allows for direct, spatially resolved magnetic field measurements with high sensitivity, leveraging Electromagnetically Induced Transparency (EIT) for low-loss operation.
