Password Strength Detection via Machine Learning: Analysis, Modeling, and Evaluation
The study analyzed public password data to develop a machine learning classifier to distinguish between strong and weak passwords. Six algorithms were tested, finding that decision trees and stacked models performed best, achieving high accuracy, recall, and F1 scores. This suggests these models are practical for classifying password strength.
