Axion String Source Modelling

The study investigated how string curvature affects massive and massless radiation from colliding axion strings. Collisions emit isotropic massless radiation following a power law related to amplitude, while massive radiation is suppressed exponentially in some regimes and decays as a power law in others. Massive particles can constitute up to 50% of the total energy in highly curved regions, suggesting particle radiation might be significant compared to gravitational waves.
