Bimodal non-Gaussian photonic states from a single quantum emitter in a waveguide

The study investigates generating deterministic non-Gaussian light states using a single two-level system coupled to a waveguide. Coherent input produces limited rank states, but squeezed vacuum inputs yield rich bimodal non-Gaussian states, including large squeezed cat states. The work proposes a method to extract these complex resources and addresses experimental challenges like imperfect coupling.
