Multilingual Reasoning Cascades Need More Context
The study tested a context-aware translation cascade (Cctx) to fix errors in standard translation cascades (Cstd). By feeding the original user question and reasoning trace to the final module, Cctx significantly improved open-ended generation, especially for cultural reasoning. The key takeaway is that preserving the original input until the end of the pipeline is a simple, effective strategy for error recovery.
