Accreting Neutron Stars in Low-Mass X-ray Binaries
This research reviews how neutron stars accrete matter from companion stars via accretion discs in Low-Mass X-ray Binaries (NS LMXBs). It examines various system classes, including Atoll and Z sources, to understand how different accretion states are physically driven. The study connects thermonuclear bursts, jets, and X-ray polarimetry to build a unified picture of matter falling onto the neutron star surface.
