Radio-Frequency Side-Channel Analysis of a Trapped-Ion Quantum Computer
Researchers used radio-frequency side-channel analysis to infer quantum circuit operations from electromagnetic leakage during trapped-ion computer execution. By analyzing RF signals from laser modulation infrastructure, they demonstrated that key gate details like ion addressing and timing can be extracted using common equipment. This proves that proprietary quantum circuit information is vulnerable through off-the-shelf RF emissions.
