Finite-Element Asteroseismology I: Two-Dimensional Adiabatic Oscillations of Rapidly Rotating N=3 Polytropes
The study develops a finite-element method to model linear adiabatic oscillations of rapidly rotating, self-gravitating N=3 polytropes. The authors construct equilibrium models using a self-consistent field method and solve the resulting quadratic eigenvalue problem on an oblate domain using FEniCSx. This provides a complete two-dimensional framework for studying these stars.
