Semiclassical Band Splitting in the Infinite Chern Band Model
The study derives an explicit asymptotic formula for how closely the two lowest energy bands of an infinite Chern band model split when the Berry curvature parameter is an odd multiple of $\pi$. Using semiclassical methods, the authors show this splitting is exponentially small and provides a precise mathematical description of this phenomenon across all momentum values.
