Metallic mean quasicrystals and their topological invariants

This work finds a complete set of topological invariants for one-dimensional quasicrystals called "metallic mean" chains. The method involves defining 2D Quantum Hall problems based on finite approximants of these quasicrystals and deriving gap labels. These labels correctly reflect the winding properties of edge states in open chains, linking bulk topology to physical observables.
