Simultaneous hyperkinetic movement disorders phenotyping: a cross-cohort pediatric transfer study using routine videos, markerless pose estimation and a tabular foundation model
Researchers created a video-based system to detect eight hyperkinetic movement disorders in children using routine clinical videos. They used a shared model trained on adult data and then made small, site-specific adjustments to the final decision step for pediatric patients. This two-stage approach successfully improved detection accuracy in real-world pediatric settings without requiring full retraining.
