Thermodynamics of Ahn--Doherty--Landahl Continuous Quantum Error Correction
This work investigates continuous quantum error correction (CQEC) by treating it as an information engine. It analyzes the thermodynamic resources—power required for system interaction and feedback modulation—needed to achieve logical qubit protection in continuous protocols. The findings show a trade-off where increasing control strength yields diminishing fidelity gains, requiring ever-increasing energy costs.
