Prospects for Revealing Intermediate-Mass Black Holes in NGC 1399 using SKA

Researchers investigated whether intermediate-mass black holes (IMBHs) exist in globular clusters within NGC 1399 and predicted their detectability by the Square Kilometer Array (SKA). Two mass estimation methods, Bondi accretion and the fundamental plane relation, yielded different IMBH mass estimates. The study suggests that radio emission from these objects should be detectable by SKA observations.
