Dynamical many-body control of high harmonic generation in a Mott insulator
This research used high harmonic generation (HHG) to probe how photo-doping changes the electronic structure of a Mott insulator ($ ext{La}_2 ext{CuO}_4$). They found that light reorganization fundamentally alters the many-body states, leading to a fixed energy cutoff and distinct suppression/enhancement patterns for different harmonic orders. This shows HHG is sensitive to these strong electron correlations.
