Singular wave functions and quantum collapse in inverse-power potentials

The work investigates stationary wave functions for inverse-power potentials where quantum collapse occurs. It finds that these states exhibit a continuous energy spectrum, unlike standard discrete bound states, which is tied to the behavior of the wave function at the origin. Regularization via hard-core truncation can restore a ground state and convert this continuous spectrum into a discrete one.
