Active STAR-RIS-Aided RSMA IoT Systems: Performance Analysis, Model-Based and Data-Driven Resource Allocation Frameworks
This study analyzes active Reconfigurable Intelligent Surfaces (STAR-RIS) for 5G Internet of Things systems, focusing on near and far user fairness challenges caused by double-fading channels. It develops information-theoretic models for outage probability and explores two resource allocation frameworks: a model-based approach using optimization techniques and a data-driven machine learning method.
