Laser-Induced Rashba Spin-Orbit Torques in Multiferroic Semiconductor (Ge,Mn)Te
This study investigated ultrafast magnetization changes in GeMnTe using laser pulses to find two distinct magnetic effects: coherent precession and transient ordering modification. It found that increased hole concentration causes precession by altering spin-locked states, while modifying the ferroelectric sublattice shifts changes the magnetic ordering, revealing new ultrafast control mechanisms in this multiferroic material.
