Interlocked Vortex Order in the Frustrated A 3 V 9 Te 13 Lattice (A =Cs,Rb)

The study investigated A3V9Te13 using DFT and Heisenberg models to find its magnetic ground state. It found a robust vortex or anti-vortex antiferromagnetic state, which exhibits electronic properties similar to kagome metals, including Dirac-like band crossings. The vortex phase is stable even when spin-orbit coupling (SOC) is included, suggesting it's a promising platform for studying frustrated magnetism and topological states.
