Convective Oscillations of Cosmic Rays
The study models how turbulent convection of cosmic rays creates spatial irregularities in pulsar gamma-ray halos. By linearizing the convection-diffusion equation, researchers found that these fluctuations result in specific power spectra for both cosmic rays and resulting TeV gamma rays. This framework allows future high-resolution images to probe interstellar turbulence properties.
