Coupling with opinion dynamics promotes prosocial behavior in multilayer networks

The study investigated how coupling a layer playing a social dilemma game (like prisoner's dilemma) with a layer following constant-selection dynamics affects cooperation. The findings show that this coupling robustly enhances cooperation in the social dilemma layer across various network structures and rules, suggesting embedding individuals in diverse settings can engineer prosocial behavior.
