Semiclassical Ehrenfest paths in open quantum systems

The study develops a transparent phase-space interpretation of classical trajectories emerging from open quantum dynamics. It uses a Gaussian mixture representation to separate coherent motion, which follows classical paths, from irreversible processes like decoherence and dissipation, which are modeled as diffusion in the statistical weights.
