Dynamics of one-dimensional Bose-Josephson Junction in a Box Trap: From Coherent Oscillations to Many-Body Dephasing and Dynamical Freezing

This study used a multiconfigurational time-dependent Hartree method to investigate a one-dimensional Bose-Josephson junction in a box trap. It found that dynamics transition from coherent Josephson oscillations at weak interactions to many-body dephasing and collapse-and-revival dynamics at intermediate strengths, eventually leading to equilibration or dynamical freezing in strongly interacting regimes. This shows how quantum coherence competes with correlation effects.
