Exact Single-Scale Outer Solution of the Abrikosov Vortex in the Extreme Type-II Limit
This work investigates an Abrikosov vortex in extreme type-II superconductors where $\kappa$ diverges. It shows that outside a shrinking core, Ginzburg-Landau equations simplify to a single nonlinear theory for the superfluid velocity. This means both magnetic field and superconducting density vary on the London penetration depth scale, contradicting the conventional two-length-scale picture.
