Environmental Change Detection for Real-World Change Analysis
Environmental Change Detection (ECD) moves beyond traditional scene change detection by using a large database of uncurated reference images instead of requiring perfect, paired references. The method reconstructs a query image by finding spatially and semantically aligned features across multiple scales in the reference database, enabling robust change detection even with real-world data scarcity and viewpoint misalignment.
