Quantum Love and ringdown near extremality
The study investigates quasinormal modes and tidal responses of four-dimensional Reissner-Nordström black holes near extremality, incorporating quantum corrections. It shows that near-horizon dynamics are governed by an effective Schwarzian action. Key findings include non-zero static Love numbers with logarithmic energy dependence and the suppression of decay rates in both semiclassical and quantum regimes.
