Temporal Interference from Topological Transitions in Monitored Quantum Dynamics
This research investigates how long-lived temporal interference patterns can emerge in quantum systems that are being continuously monitored. The key finding is that these fringes become very stable near topological transitions—points where specific quantum states, called dark states, appear. This interference is caused by the coherent interaction of these dark modes and their slow approach to each other as the system approaches a phase transition.
