Collective Organization of String Fragmentation
This study uses real-time simulations of a massive Schwinger model to find a single collective mode governing how coherent confining strings break into hadrons. It shows this mode dictates string survival probability, reproduces the Gaussian dependence seen in Lund fragmentation laws, and organizes the effective fluid properties and entanglement growth during string fragmentation.
