A quantum oscillator interacting with a classical oscillator

The authors study a quantum oscillator interacting with a classical one using path integrals to model how quantum decoherence and classical diffusion occur during backreaction. They found that in weak coupling, the classical oscillator behaves as if influenced by an averaged position of the quantum system, while the system's dynamics depend on whether it is heavier than the other.
