Scan-Coil Delay Causes Anisotropic Signal Loss in Fast 4D-STEM

Fast 4D-STEM suffers from signal smearing due to scan coil delays when dwell times are very short. This delay causes an anisotropic loss of data along the fast scanning direction, especially in low-dose biological imaging. The study developed a phase-correlation based software correction that measures and fixes this temporal offset, restoring signal across most spatial frequencies.
