WindINR: Latent-State INR for Fast Local Wind Query and Correction in Complex Terrain
WindINR creates a fast system for estimating local wind at specific spots in complex terrain by using a compact latent state instead of retraining the entire network during use. It maps background data and query locations to high-resolution wind fields. This allows for quick updates using sparse observations, significantly speeding up correction compared to full network fine-tuning.
